Ecology of science deals with different problems of knowledge's being, including processes and structures which underlie the information space of science. The influence of contemporary Information Technologies upon science is ambivalent. In spite of obvious profits of IT, involved in scientific process, there are facts and tendencies, pointing out that something like ecological crisis in the information space of science takes place. Exponential growth of relevant scientific knowledge and of irrelevant, pseudo-scientific materials (information noise) lead to the loss of informational, intellectual and social control upon knowledge, which scientific community aspire to have. This could be characterized as symptoms of the Crisis of Control in the Information Society.
