This presentation is based on the materials of research dealing with search and analysis of the extremist and radical sites of Russian Internet. This research project was realized in the frame of the program of Russian Department of education. The results of the project were analytical conclusions on the structure and discourse techniques, which are typical for extremist and radical sites.

Russian law defines the notion of extremism, but it doesn't contain the empirical indexes, which can help us to attribute the actions, the texts, organizations to the extremist. Therefore we elaborated indexes to choose the sites for our analysis of extremist sites. We refuse also to use the notion "extremism" in our analysis because this notion has evaluative meanings. Instead of it we used the notion "radicalism".

According to our criteria we have chosen some sites and analyzed the most typical of them.
