We define the space within computers as cspace, cyberspace as the use of computers to communicate. It seems to me that to get a clearer understanding of this issue, of the changes in places brought by the development of cyberspace, we need to do two things. We need to develop an understanding of the nature of space and place. And we need to see how one might understand identity - the identity of both individuals and groups - against the background of questions of space and social place.
