THE CONCEPT OF CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF OFFICIAL INTERNET PORTAL OF ST.PETERSBURG GOVERNMENT

The paper is devoted to creation and development of the bilingual (in Russian and English languages) Internet portal of St.Petersburg government with the elements of "e-government" . Implementation of the project allows to get information of all structural divisions of city Administration and authorities of federal and joint submissions. The portal includes the advanced tools of a feedback and constant updating. There are about 70 portal editors from all the city governmental structures. They provide actual information on the portal and suggest to present "e-government" services for the citizens.

Due to creation of a portal it was possible to raise the image of Administration in the Internet, to lift a level of computer literacy of civil servants, to develop a new tool of communication with the citizens, potential tourists and investors of St.Petersburg by a principle of an interactive mode. The official portal has been functioning almost a year. Over one thousand users visit it daily. The total amount of materials makes more than 1500 pages.
