The Framework describes the technical specifications and policies that will act as the foundation of the perspective e-government strategy. These standards will allow the information to flow seamlessly across the public sector and provide citizens and businesses with better access to government services. In addition, by adopting the Internet and World Wide Web standards, the Framework aligns government with the rest of industry and serves as a basis for reducing the costs and risks associated with carrying out major IT projects.
